:: New Paintings :: Bark Schwarz Karst and Louise Lamontagne

If you haven’t stopped by Jest Gallery lately you are missing out on some stunning new paintings.

Louise Lamontagne continues her work on the landscapes of Montana with several new pieces including Autumn Willow II:

We also just received some new paintings from Missoula artist Barb Schwarz Karst.  Her continuing Montana Rust Belt series on declining industries in Montana has drawn quite a bit of attention.  The newest collection of work includes Trojan Horse Made of Iron:

Please stop by to see more work from both of these artists.  And make sure to mark your calendars to visit us on 11.11.11 for Ladies Night Out in downtown Whitefish.  We will have food, drinks, live music with Shayla Smith, and specials on accessories and jewelry.  Can’t wait to see you then!

Great Opening with Michael Haykin

In case you missed it at the beginning of the month we had a blast opening Michael Haykin’s solo show “Pool of Light.”  Michael is a new artist for us and we have received overwhelmingly positive responses to the paintings.  If you haven’t had a chance to stop in and see these paintings make a point to come before the end of August.  They are simply stunning in person.

Thanks to everyone in the community that came out to support the show.  You can see more information about Michael and his work on his website and on the gallery website.
